Life, Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness
I thought that I would take this time to expand on a subject that I touched on a while ago in a posting titled I Don’t want Him to Succeed… posted here Jan. 15th 2009. I have included that paragraph here:
Conservatism is; individual freedom, a belief in God and Country, American exceptionality, small government, taxes that are just, fair and equitable to all, capitalism (not necessarily big business), no monopolies (especially in the public school system), and a belief in the value of each and every person and their right to pursue life, liberty and happiness as their dream guides them. These are great products that we have for sale here! They appeal to all peoples regardless of color, ethnicity, gender or background. Each one of us is free to succeed to the highest level that we are personally capable of. There are no impediments except for ourselves and the limits that we harness to our backs such as the soft bigotry of liberalism/progressivism. All we need is a good salesman once again. The truths have not changed from the Reagan era. The "Shinning City on the Hill" is still right there to reach for despite the liberals/progressives calling it an illusion.
It has come to my attention not only by talking with other Republicans and Conservatives, but listening and watching the “talking heads” appearing in/on the MSM, that there is some need to change our message, to moderate our beliefs and to package ourselves like a chain store hamburger. To so convolute our message and beliefs that you are reduced to being able to only read speeches from teleprompters that have been run through the PC mill, to the point that it becomes a vacuous droning Democrat Presidential presentation. These are the same Republicans that would have us busy “reaching across the aisle” and negotiating our principles and values away. They are the reason that the party had to purge itself last election cycle. Conservatism does not require repackaging, in fact Conservatives Still Outnumber Liberals. We lost the last election because Republicans forgot their Conservative core and were removed from office for it. There is still some denial of this by some Republicans, but it is only by the ones that still refuse to listen to the base (and the majority makeup of America). Let them perk up their ears or suffer the same fate as the last tossed out bunch.
Conservatism does indeed have a great package of goods that sell themselves if truly brought to the electorate not only in word, but deed. Conservatives value each and every citizen not for the color of their skin, not for their social class and not for their gender identification. No, we are not like the Democrats in that respect, we value each person as an American, with abilities limited only by their own desires, with limits that are only placed by the individual themselves. Conservatives believe in a helping hand, not a handout. Conservatives believe that America is best served by a free society filled with people producing goods and services that everyone wants or needs. Conservatives believe that the only “indoctrination” that schools should be imparting to our children is reading, writing, arithmetic, and an understanding and love of this Greatest Nation, America. We have seen the left of this country trying to rule from the bench that parents no longer have a right to home school their children. One can only suspect that the left is in fear of not being able to indoctrinate your children.
Conservatism cares not what religion you are or are not. That is between the Maker and yourself. Conservatism is strong family ties and more parent involvement in child rearing than Government interference in the morals/values/religious choices that we have a right to make as parents. Conservatism does not require the coercion of government for giving to help the poor. Conservatives far and away give more than liberals, and they are giving of their own money, not others. Conservatives never, ever, live by the sweat of another’s brow. The do not believe that they deserve anything of anyone else’s. Conservatives are not jealous of those who have been more successful (in fact, they use them as models) nor are they disdainful of those of less success. Conservatives believe in judging all people by the content of their character, not treating any with the soft bigotry of the left, not catering to pressure groups, not advancing one American over another for the purposes of hiring, or admissions to school, or lending practices, but taking all people on the basis of merit alone. America affords each and every Citizen the opportunity to move up and down the social ladder, with all opportunity being equal, not the outcomes. Outcomes are based on personal initiative, and yes, each of us needs a little bit of luck. Luck favors the prepared, and Conservatives favor all to be prepared. From the time of FDR there have been groups that have allowed themselves to be made reliant upon the left of this country to fix their problems, have allowed the left to steal their lives, their liberty, and their happiness, whether that has been education, housing or jobs, and that promise has as yet gone unfulfilled by the left, who keeps saying “put us back in power and we’ll fix it this time”. The common good is not served by tearing down the rich, but by lifting up the poor. The poor are not helped by hand outs, but by changing their outlook, by giving them the means to look at themselves and take direction of their own futures. By showing them that the proximity to big government is proximity to failure and hopelessness, to the dissolution of the family and the continuance of despair. Conservatives are optimists and forward looking, always working for a better day and not blaming other for the state of their own affairs. Liberals live in a world full of hate and oppression, fear and jealousy, and the desire to tear success down rather than bring the needy up, thereby giving an example of why you should not be successful. Remember, the only racism on display in the last election cycle was from the left. It is worth noting the overt racism/bigotry of the new administration as well. We need to remember that it was the Republicans the pushed through civil rights in the 60’s. The left believes that “trickle down economics” can not work in a free capitalist society, but does believe that it works if the government coercively takes money and the government performs the “trickle down”.
The only thing lacking in the Republican Party right now is a charismatic Conservative able to present our beliefs, our “package” if you will. These are beliefs that we in fact share with a majority of Americans, and they require no moderation. They are in truth the message of hope and the promise of a better life for all Americans, not the oppression of bureaucrats taking away all hope of a better day and the pride of self sufficiency that is the true realization of the promise of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness (I will expand on this in a future posting). There are several possible candidates on the radar, and the harder the left rails against them, the closer I believe that we are to a correct choice. The Nation is still center right at the least and overwhelmingly still Conservative, a fact that scares the left to even greater fits of hatred and fear. Beware the ugly consequences of leftist hate and bigotry throughout history. Conservatives merely ask that you consult your good conscience, we believe in the ability of the People to make good choices when they are not lied to by a media out of control and in the camp of socialist influence.

America “a Nation of Cowards” says Attorney General Holder
And we thought the race cards had expired. Today obama’s attorney general called the United States “a nation of cowards”. What a sick thing to say. For that alone Mr. Holder should be fired. I wonder if those black or white soldiers bleed different over seas as they fight for a country and all colors of people, that you obviously either don’t understand or love. You should step down in any case. In a speech to Justice Department employees Holder further said “the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives”. Well, how about that? The color peddlers, the race baiters, the racial bean counters are still with us, and they are still just as ugly as they have ever been. Holder also states “we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race." Perhaps it is because most Americans are not race peddlers. Perhaps that is because I don’t really care one way or the other about what color person I choose to spend time with. And all this from a administration that has Robert Reich, a confirmed bigot on staff (please see posting “Reich, Obama’s House Bigot”). Yes I need to be told by this bunch (who’s aim it is to keep money out of the hands of “white men”) what I need to do in, and with whom I need to spend, my spare time. Mr. Holder said “we're going to have to have the guts, we have to have the determination, to be honest with each other (the races). Ok I don’t like you because you were appointed to a position that you obviously neither deserve nor merit. You were appointed because you are black and for no other reason. You are a racist at the least and a bigot most probably. Yours and others use of their blackness to beat others up with, and yes I mean particularly whites, is revolting. You would find that behavior in a white man to be a problem and I find it to be a problem with you. I am tired of the race peddlers. I am sickened by the way that 98% of blacks voted for Obama, not because he was the best thing for the country, but merely because he WAS black. We all remember Howard Stern interviewing black Obama supporters in Harlem, but let’s just refresh our memories shall we? (Cover the kids ears when Howard is speaking at first, you know he is a potty mouth).

Ok America, Turn'em In!
Well, right then America. We have a black President now. All race cards are now officially expired. Turn'em in or tear'em up! No more affirmative action. No more discrimination against whites for the "slaves" that none of us have ever owned in preference of those that never were. This is America, where you can be anything that you want if you just work hard enough (and has been for a long time). No one gets or deserves a cut in line in front of anyone. Time for the race peddlers to be told to shut up and drink from the same water fountain as the rest of us. Goodbye Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Louis Fara-con. Good riddance to bad baggage.

The Injustice Doctrine
The growing cacophony of outrage on the leftist/progressive/socialist side over the popularity of AM talk radio is only exceeded by their smug elitist attitudes. These people are not sated with the ideological control of, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR, MSNBC, CNN, most local TV stations, most newspapers and all of academia. No, they just can’t understand why it is that “Progressive” radio talk is soon taken off of the air. Well, lets just see if we can shed a little light on it for those who are only able to look down their noses at the “little people” out here who they “know better” for.
Exhibit A; the pots and pans bangers over at Daily Kos. Yes, the “good” folks over at the “Daily Toss your meal” are a vulgar bunch. This is the hate filled, book burning, expletive-shouting hoard that “Progressive” radio aims at. They and their ilk are the ones whining about free speech and then attacking (yes, physically) any Conservative speaker that might show up at a College or other forum for open speech or debate. They (Progressive Radio) think that they are viewed as "appealing" to Middle America and its’ values, but as demonstrated by the market forces (no audience, no advertisers) they are removed from the air as not only unprofitable, but a money pit. Who do they think that they will interest in their shows that do not already listen to them? Surely they don’t believe that those of us listening to and paying for Conservative talk radio will either listen OR support their sponsors. No, no more than they support OUR sponsors. They are a bunch lead not by reason or logic, but by pure emotion. It is truly a wonder that they simply don’t drop dead of heart failure. Their blood pressure must be for the record books. “Progressive” radio is nothing but the same incoherent rant that you get in places like Kos and frankly, it just doesn’t sell very well. Hey, I know! Daily Toss, go support Air America! I’m sure that it will soon supplant all the now popular shows like Rush, Laura E., Hannity, Hewitt, Prager, Medved and Gallagher, just to name a few of the highly commercially successful shows. They are successful not only without Government, but because of no Government interference. Bet you wish your so-called “ideas” sold as well. If it is merely a matter of putting it on the air and it will be popular, take up a collection from your pots and pans bangers and put it up! Call your local AM station and tell them YOU will sponsor it! You will make a financial killing no doubt!

The callers, who are taken regardless of their political philosophy also balance Conservative Radio. We heard Slick Willy complain about the backing of "big money" for Conservative Radio, but fails to mention the truly big money of George Soros who writes the checks for air America. Or does Soros see that it is a bottomless pit? The so called “fairness Doctrine” is nothing short of the attempt by the hard left “Progressives” to control access to news and to control thereby thought. It is an attempt to lead people to arrive at the conclusion that it (leftist/progressive/socialist) wants them to. This used to be called Propaganda or even brain washing. The most oppressive and totalitarian governments in history have always practiced it. Sadly, this has been and continues to be an overt symptom of the true and underlying sickness of leftist/progressive/socialists. They (leftist/progressive/socialists) have lead the most oppressive and terrible governments in history that have, each and every time, seized control of the means of disseminating news/information/teaching to the masses, turning it into indoctrination to their social/political ideology, usually descending finally to physical or mental coercion (see Mao, Stalin, Marx, Castro, Kim Jong il, Kim il Sung, Hitler, Ho Chi Minh, Lennin, the list really is endless, and the left owns them all.) I can get their leftist/progressive/socialist views any time I turn on the TV or pick up a paper, Conservative Radio and the internet is all I have.
The vacuousness of “progressive” arguments is the basis of their failure in the marketplace of ideas. What they don’t understand is that their socialist representatives are in power now because the Republican Party went through a house cleaning and tossed out most of the RINO’s. We won’t play nice when we are back in power 2010. The only reaching across the aisle to be done is to get our hands around your lying throats. The selection of Clinton retreads, tax dodgers and other miscreants and reprobates by Obama to surround and advise him, is surely something that you will want to trumpet on your “soon to be successful” radio shows! Perhaps “Progressive Radio” can highlight the Poll Cheating Pornographer Al Franken’s use of ballot box stuffing/voter fraud by Acorn before the election, and the stuffing of the ballot box after the election (as necessary) by various officials “finding” uncounted ballots (funny they are always Franken votes) in the quantities necessary to “put him back in the lead.” I just don’t know why “Progressive” radio does not take over the market with such grand ideas and such outstanding and upright people that the hard left is so populated with. Go ahead “Progressives”, show us all what you really are and take us back in time to the Fairness Doctrine, or shall we call it the Injustice Doctrine?

Stimulus Plan Needed to Avoid "National Catastrophe"?
Or will it promote National Catastrophe? Well all right Obama, pass it. You don’t need any Republicans to pass your Porkulus so just pass it. Why is it that you so crave “bipartisan” support of this initiative? If it is the right thing to do then have the balls to pass it and let the Republican party roast in hell! All I hear is that if the Republicans want to survive they must vote with us (the Democrats). Tell me, why all the concern over the fate of the Republican party that you have tried to crush? Is it perhaps that you are looking for cover on a bill that you know The People see as nothing but a socialist spending wish list? Oh I see! You want the cover of bipartisan cooperation to cover for your socialist agenda. Obama, if this bill is needed to “avoid National Catastrophe” you have all the votes needed to get it to your desk! The likelihood of a filibuster and its’ success is slim at best. By all means, pass your bill! You can and should do it without a single Republican vote! You will own it and will be able to beat the Republicans over the head with it in 2010 and 2012! By all means, crush your opponents! Just think, when you have saved the economy and stand there with your cape flapping and waving in the wind, having your vanquished opponents beneath your booted foot, the world will be yours, your Republican opponents vanquished for who knows how many generations! Goal complete! Damm the torpedoes Obama! Full speed ahead! Yours is the righteousness of the hive! Go ahead! The people will love you Obama! Well, we’ll see won’t we?

Guess he is just checking the shine on his shoes. Last I checked the President of the United States bows to no one. What a continuing embarrassment this man is.
